Notes
Maestro Morricone's soundtrack to the controversial 1982 cult thriller Butterfly, based on a novel by James M. Cain starring Stacy Keach, Pia Zadora and Orson Welles.
The score itself is relatively quiet, compared to some of Morricone's more nail-biting works, but as always, he's is a master of transforming the psychology of the film's characters into music, which he does here with a subtle art that has made him the undisputed maestro of film scores. The quality of his work was also recognized with the track "It's Wrong For Me To Love You", featuring vocals by Zadora, being nominated for Best Original Song.
